To paraphrase Martin Sheen: "Jar Jar, Shit." But not really, nope, not really. When Episode I debuted at the Coronet on Geary Street at midnight, I wasn't there. Nope, I was at the 3 am show because I wasn't fast enough to get midnight tix. And despite what all the naysayers naysaid, I wasn't horrified with Episode I. I felt it did what it was suppossed to: not fall on its ass. No it wasn't an epic, but it didn't completely suck. And even if it did, dammit, I'd been waiting, what, 20 year? I was determined to like that motherfucking movie. You don't spend 20 years quoting Obie Wan and then just give up the ghost because... why, it's too childish? Childish? Is that the best you can do? It's a children's movie for crying out loud. It's a fantasy. Go back and look at the first three. There aren't even any curse words. But that's all over, baby blue. Episode I is done and gone. Get ready for Episode II.
