In this year's Bay Guardian Best of's, one of the items I wrote up was the Web St. building, which was one of the most blatently arrogant fixtures on Market Street. The company went out of business (or was bought out by E*Trade) before ever moving in. I noticed recently that the building now has E*Trade propaganda all over the sides. But now E-Trade is closing its San Francisco office. I think that place must be cursed.
